NORCROSS, GA –- November 2, 2009 – Photo Science’s W. Allen Brock, PLS, CP was the recipient of the 2008-2009 Jim White Memorial Corporate Member of the Year Award from the Georgia Airport Association (GAA). Mr. Brock is a project manager at Photo Science in their Norcross, Georgia facility. “We are proud of Allen’s accomplishments,” said Photo Science President, G. Michael Ritchie, “he has been an active leader in our firm for our airport obstruction analysis and is well deserving of this recognition”.
This award is given to an individual who is a Corporate Member of the GAA, who demonstrates a willingness to help grow the Corporate Membership of the GAA, and who fosters good communication, participation and value for all GAA members, officers and board of directors.
Mr. Brock has over 20 years of experience in the Geospatial industry. His background includes experience in digital orthophotography production, production management and stereo map compilation using analytical, analog and softcopy stereo plotting instruments. He is a Registered Professional Photogrammetrist in the State of Oregon, a licensed Photogrammetric Surveyor in the State of South Carolina and is a certified GIS professional.

He has personally gone above and beyond the call of duty in providing airport obstruction survey data to FAA to facilitate improved instrument approaches at our airports statewide. Photo Science is an aerial mapping and survey company providing their services to many Georgia Airports through subcontracts with engineering consulting firms,” states Ms. Carol L. Comer, Aviation Programs Manager of the Georgia Department of Transportation.
