Photo Science Purchases Third  Z/I Imaging Digital Mapping Camera

LEXINGTON, KY - June 16, 2008 – Photo Science has taken delivery of our third Z/I Imaging Digital Mapping Camera (DMC) as part of our continued migration strategy to an “all-digital” acquisition fleet. As early adopters of digital sensor technologies, Photo Science has been providing these services since 2003. As part of this strategy, Photo Science continues to invest in image processing infrastructure to best deliver geospatial solutions to its client base. This capability truly enables a fully-digital workflow process throughout the project lifecycle from mission planning; integrated flight navigation; simultaneous (panchromatic, color and color infrared) digital image acquisition; softcopy analytical aerotriangulation; feature extraction to GIS database delivery.

The significant advantage to the new sensor over our other systems is the integrated disk storage. This new storage system has been enhanced to be more reliable and much smaller, occupying less room in the aircraft and weighing about 200 pounds less.
